There is a new trend in South Africa to develop Universally Accessible Built Environments which caters for people with special needs. One main feature being implemented is the blind path or accessible pedestrian routes. Special Tactile Paving is used in upgrading of various pedestrian street crossings as well as on some University Campuses.
OUR QUESTION:
We want to find out if the blind and visually impaired are aware of this, know how to use it and do they find it makes life easier for them?
